16th Street Decoration

This 1927 Historic Houston Heights Bungalow required very little remodeling so we focused our design on incorporating our well traveled client’s extensive antique collection and improving how they live in the home.

The color palette is soft but thoughtful with colors being pulled from existing antique rugs. One of our goals in this project was to highlight the cozy architecture while incorporating our client’s personality.

We began at the front of the house by creating a seating area perfect for bookclub meetings and having the color palette flow into the connecting dining room. The sheers on the windows soften the spaces and cause the 8 foot ceilings to appear taller. The antique copper dolphin dining table is an eclectic but tradition highlight that complements the antique Oriental screen we hung on the wall.
