August 2011

August! 2011 is the fastest year ever! I did an inspiration board for August. I'm feeling so inspired by so many things. Here are some that inspire me to push further, to go beyond my own boundaries. No more limiting ourselves, just let go & see how far we can go. Expect more. Get out of your self-imposed box. Let's do August differently!

Sources... 1. This image is from Sea of Shoes. Her photography & style are amazing. & she's only 19! This shot is from the Belmont Smokehouse in Oakcliff(Dallas). 2. Treehouse from Honestly...WTF Tumblr. The colors & the relaxed feel are getting me. I want to create a space with the same feeling. Relaxed, fun, colorful, inspiring. 3. I first saw this family room, designed by the incredible Sixx Design, on The Decorista. Check out that rug! It's from the Novogratz's new home decor collection. I can't wait to see it! They also have a new show on HGTV soooon. 4. This shot is from the home of the inspiring Beth Jones of B. Jones Style. Check out her blog daily for great outfits mixing vintage & new pieces. 5. I love the free flowing feeling of this Kelly Wearstler "painting". I love how she doesn't have limits, she goes for it. Did you know she was a Playboy Playmate before she was a designer? Crazy world. 6. These stunning lucite stair railings are from Houston's own La Dolce Vita blog. 7. Kate Hudson's bathroom (although it's an old shot so I doubt she STILL lives there). Seen here. 8. The MOST amazing butterfly dress. Can you imagine how you'd feel wearing a dress like that? Magical. Image here. Dress by Luly Yang. 9. A bedroom vignette shot by Kelly Wearstler from LaDolceVita blog. 10. Beautiful flamingo, from the Honestly...WTF Tumblr. I do not know the original source, that's what sucks about Tumblr. 11. A vanity vignette inspired by Dorothy Draper from House & Garden, as seen on A Lovely Being blog. 12. Amazing moldings. I am learning more & more about moldings & designing them. Fun stuff. I don't have the original source for this image, bad bad bad. 13. Cool hair. Trying something new. Just going for it without thinking, that's the good thing about "messy" hair being in style. From Honestly...WTF tumblr & FreePeople. 14. This amazing zebra shot is from Pinterest. Again, the original source is illusive.
