Fresh Flowers From Bouqs

First let me start off by saying it's a rare occasion for me to accept a freebie in payment for a blog post/ review. I think this is the second time in five years actually. I'm generally not down with it. I have extremely high expectations and unless I think it's something that my discerning clients would enjoy I have to say no. The Bouqs contacted me and I was intrigued.

In this case they had me at Concierge Service.  I LOVE that with Bouqs you can sign up for the concierge program and receive monthly flowers. That's luxury! I love it. Fresh flowers without hauling them from the grocery store or calling your local floral boutique to have a bouquet made up. Fresh flowers to tell your future you that you're great. Nothing better. I'm sold on the concierge service.

The Bouqs sources their flowers from a Southern California farm and from a volcano near the equator. They only work with farms that are environmentally friendly and also pay their employees living wages. Both are must haves for me. If you purchase your flowers from the California farm, it's easy to tell the difference on their website, you can get next day shipping. STILL time to get your Valentines Day flowers ordered fellas! No standing in line at the grocery store at 6:00 on the 14th for you! (yeah I saw you last year and it was sad)

I ordered the Recognize bouquet, orange Lilies (Orange Lillium Asiatic). One thing I love about The Bouqs is their wide range of single variety bouquets. I love a grouping of all one type of flower. A mixed bouquet has to be really imaginative to catch my attention. Mostly because they usually have Carnations and I can't get down with Carnations. Did you know my first job was delivering flowers? I delivered to a lot of funeral homes and believe me most of those arrangements were Carnations.

It took about six days for my bouquet to arrive. The Lilies arrived closed, thank goodness. The Bouqs pride themselves on delivering only the freshest flowers. I had no idea what to expect but as you can see the flowers were packaged impressively.

I'm now on day six and my flowers are gorgeous! The color and smell is wonderful and they're showing no signs of fading!

Day Six.

Day Six.

I'll say the only downside is arranging them yourself and providing your own vase. But I also love providing my own vase, and am fine with arranging. I know clients that wouldn't love the arranging but also some that would so that's a toss up. I love the idea of using The Bouqs for sending the flowers to myself to arrange to hand deliver to a friend. I seriously love any way to make my life easier.

The Bouqs has mainstay bouquets as well as seasonal specialty bouquets. My bouquet is a mainstay btw, Lilies are always in style. The bouquets range from $40-$50 with the option to upgrade. The upgrade to Deluxe is $10 and gets you twice the amount as the basic bouquet. The upgrade to Grand triples the amount of flowers as the basic bouquet and costs around $20 more than the Deluxe. The upgrades are worth it y'all. Always upgrade.

I'll for sure be ordering from The Bouqs again, I'm already considering an early March bouquet for my birthday of one of these....

Let me know when you order your Bouqs bouquet and send pictures!

Thank you Bouqs for teaching me about your company, I'm a fan. I wouldn't turn down a trip to the Volcano either, btw in case you were wondering. ;)
